Victoria University (VU) in Melbourne empowers a diverse
student population to grow their capabilities and transform their
lives for the better. VU is one of the few dual-sector universities
in Australia, offering both TAFE and higher education courses.
We offer an exciting array of courses to more than 45,000
domestic and international students each year, from certificates
and diplomas through to bachelor degrees, graduate
certificates, masters and PhDs. We believe in the opportunity of
education for everyone.
Hands-on learning and work experience are integral to a VU
education. The university takes great pride in its industry and
community connections, giving students access to workplace
learning opportunities, so they graduate with real-world
experience and strong industry networks.
Seven campuses are located throughout Melbourne, starting in
the CBD: City Queen, the site of VU’s law school; City King,
which offers vocational courses, including hairdressing, and
health and beauty; and City Flinders, where many business
courses are taught, along with osteopathy and English
language. St Albans is a health and biosciences hub; Werribee
houses major research centres for water, food and fire safety;
and the Sunshine campus offers building trade courses.
VU is an Australian leader in sport education. The university has
the largest population enrolled in sport courses, the greatest
number of sport-related industry partners, the highest graduate
employment outcomes in Australia and the most graduates
working in the sport industry.
To ensure education is accessible to all, VU provides
comprehensive academic, career and financial support to its
students. Our range of scholarship programs include
Achievement Scholarships, offered to over 60 secondary
schools in Melbourne's west, and the Chancellor’s Scholars
Program for commencing students achieving an ATAR of at
least 90. Access Scholarships are also available for students
facing financial difficulty.
